Important Announcement: School Closure

With great sadness, we share that Bristol Waldorf School will be closing at the end of the Autumn term, with our final day of operation on 17th December 2025.

We are not accepting any further applications for students.

This difficult decision was made by the Board of Trustees after careful consideration of the school’s long-term sustainability. Despite the dedication of our teachers, staff, and families, it has not been possible to secure the financial and enrolment stability needed to continue operating the school into the future.

Since its founding, Bristol Waldorf School has sought to offer an education inspired by Waldorf principles, nurturing creativity, curiosity, and community. We are profoundly grateful to all those who have supported the school: our pupils, families, teachers, trustees, alumni, and friends. Our priority during this period is to ensure a smooth and supportive transition for all our pupils and staff.

We thank you for being part of the Bristol Waldorf School journey and for your continued care and understanding during this time.

The Board of Trustees

Our Parent and Child groups offer enchanting weekly sessions of play, connection and discovery, in our beautiful and nurturing environment. Through informal morning sessions, children develop essential social skills like cooperation and group participation. Carers and children connect meaningfully, fostering a sense of community and growth.

In our Kindergarten, children experience a secure and unhurried environment designed to foster their natural love of learning. Mixed-age groups support social and emotional development, while through play and exploration children embark on a gentle introduction to school and the broader world.

Our children-centred approach ensures that the curriculum aligns with each stage of development. This philosophy supports a holistic education that fosters intellectual, emotional, practical and social development. Learning is experiential and incorporates music, movement rhythm and play even while tackling academic subjects.

Through the beautiful moments and toughest times, Bristol Waldorf School has been a blessing for our son and to our lives as a family. The nurturing, loving care, kindness and support has been second to none.
